Hotel offers a modernly designed restaurant serving a modern fine twist on Maltese cuisine, such as fish, rabbit, snail and rustic local dishes designed by one of Malta's most renowned and successful Chefs Chris Hammett creating a take on the local cuisine which is not found anywhere on the island. The hotel invites also to a modern bar boasting an extremely varied amount of wines and spirits from all around the world as well as craft house made cocktails designed to match the cuisine and culture of the building.
Breakfast is served from 07.00 a.m. until 10.00, lunch and dinner from 1 p.m. until 11. p.m. Our bar invites you from 10.00 a.m. until 6. p.m. You may order Room Service around the clock.
After enjoying the international breakfast at the Hotel our Guests have the possibility to book the half board at the front desk (until noon for the evening) in two of the best restaurants of the island:
- "Hammett’s Maċina Restaurant“: like the Maltese language itself, the menu is a taste of history derived from the island’s Mediterranean-semitic roots, with a contemporary twist, created using only the finest local, seasonal produce. The menu is composed by a multi-award winning team, previously of the Villa Brasserie in St. Julian’s, led by talented Chef de Cuisine Andrea Marchetti, and directed by 24-time award winning Chef and restauranteur Chris Hammett. Dining al fresco is an unforgettable experience in the warmer months, when the imposing bastions, the fortified city of Birgu, and the spectacular harbour are illuminated by traditional Festa firework displays. Patrons can enjoy the world class wines from our expansive wine cellar. Hammett’s Maċina Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner all week, as well as for lunch on weekends.
- "Hammett’s Gastro Bar“: is a newly opened gastro pub in Sliema, 7 km from the Hotel, in the very heart of Malta’s night life; it is an absolute novelty in the island, of modern design, with a touch of a real class. This new gastro bar together with its expert kitchen staff offers delicious drinks and high quality dishes served in a unique atmosphere. The place is now supervised by Mr. Hammet in person, also owner of La Villa - a famous gastronomy expert and a warranty of quality of the island.
- "The Sheer Bastion": set atop Senglea’s centuries-old bastions within the Cugó Gran Macina Grand Harbour, The Sheer Bastion, from its defensive and naval origins, is today, a venue for celebrations that go down in history. Unparalleled panoramic views from the historic waters-edge building of the Grand Harbour and Birgu City give way to stunning sunsets, exquisite firework displays and illuminated views of the cities. The 16th century fortification itself, tells its story with architectural and functional features enhanced by state of the art lighting, providing elegant surroundings for any occasion. The venue’s cuisine is produced by Hammett’s Catering where set menus are created in-house using only the finest local, seasonal produce and constructed with immaculate detail. The capacity allows for over 1000 reception and 300 seated covers.
