IBB Hotel Collection & Cugó Gran Collection publish 2024 ESG Report
On June 5th, in celebration of World Environment Day, we are proud to announce the release of our standalone ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Report for IBB Hotel Collection and Cugó Gran Collection.
This marks a major milestone for our brands, as we take a bold step forward in our journey toward transparency, responsibility, and sustainability. While ESG reporting has previously been done at the Von der Heyden Group level – beginning with the Group’s first report in 2023 for the year 2022 – this will be the first official report dedicated solely to IBB Hotel Collection.

World Environment Day is a global call to action to protect and restore our planet. It is the perfect occasion to unveil our ESG achievements and reaffirm our environmental and social commitments. By choosing this day to launch our report, we join millions around the world in spotlighting sustainability, not just as a goal, but as a way of doing business.
As a company rooted in hospitality, we understand the vital link between our industry and the environment. Here’s how we’re making a difference:
- Reduced the indirect emissions generated through our supply chain and business activities (known as Scope 3 emissions) by 12% per square meter since 2023.
- Chose 2023 as our new starting point for measuring environmental progress as it represents a more ‘business-as-usual’ year than 2021 and set new climate goals based on emissions per square meter, rather than total emissions.
- Successfully helped our suppliers lower their emissions by nearly 50%, significantly reducing our indirect environmental impact.
- We planted 2,699 trees, which are expected to absorb over 294 tonnes of CO₂ and help reforest more than 18,000 square meters of land.
We are equally committed to cultivating a fair, inclusive, and empowering environment for our people and communities:
- Achieved a 50:50 gender split across the Group.
- Half of all managerial roles are held by women.
- Recorded a 78% employee satisfaction score.
- Supported communities through charitable donations and volunteering efforts.
Robust governance practices ensure that ESG principles guide every level of our decision-making:
- Formed a dedicated ESG Committee at Von der Heyden Group.
- Parent company Timan Investments Holdings joined the UN Global Compact.
- Completed a Group-wide internal ESG risk assessment, including IBB Hotel Collection.
- Implemented stringent cybersecurity measures across the company.
