Summary
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the guest rooms and public areas.
Personal Attributes and skills required
- Have 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Have good command of the English language, spoken and written.
- Be computer literate and able to work on MS Office applications.
- Have the ability to plan, organize and delegate tasks.
- Have a passion for Customer Service
- Problem solving skills
- Be well-organized and possess good time management skills.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to housekeeping staff to ensure utmost cleanliness of guest rooms, offices and public areas
- Maintain any housekeeping supply rooms and place orders for more supplies.
- Deal with any requests given by other departments in relation to housekeeping.
- Give training to new housekeeping employees on Hotel Standards, Health and Safety and Company Values.
- Ensure the delivery of great guest service by Housekeeping employees at all times.
- Communicate effectively with guests if needed.
- Handle and report all guest complaints.
- Ensure guest rooms are ready by the specific times allocated.
- Do necessary day to day paperwork.
- Report any maintenance needs in rooms or public areas to the maintenance department.
- Report any incidents to the General Manager and be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Perform any other duties required as instructed by the General Manager
