Let’s be home for them

A community rebuilding together in Valencia

In November 2024, the region of Valencia was struck by a series of devastating floods that left many families displaced, their homes damaged or destroyed. In the area of Paiporta, the impact was particularly heartbreaking – lives were turned upside down, and entire households lost the safety and comfort of home overnight.

In response to this tragedy, IBB Hotel Collection launched the “Let’s Be Home for Them” initiative, a heartfelt campaign created in November 2024 to support those directly affected in Valencia. Our mission was simple but vital: help families rebuild not just their houses, but their homes.

Thanks to the incredible support from our community and beyond, we are proud to share that we have raised a total of €2,272 through our GoFundMe campaign. This achievement reflects the compassion and solidarity shown by so many of you – guests, friends, and supporters who chose to make a difference.

Now, as the long and difficult process of rebuilding continues, we are entering a new and important phase.

Where the funds will go:

We will now begin distributing the raised funds to help a list of families in Paiporta who are in the final stages of restoring their homes. These are individuals who have worked tirelessly to reconstruct the basic structure of their houses, but they still face a crucial challenge: setting them up again with the essentials they lost.

Your contributions will go directly toward:

  • Furnishing homes with beds, tables, and sofas,
  • Supplying kitchens with the tools to cook and eat together again,
  • Installing basics like curtains, lighting, and storage,
  • Helping restore comfort, safety, and dignity.

A local effort with a global heart

This initiative is proudly led by IBB Hotel Collection, whose commitment to community and care goes beyond hospitality. From the moment the floods hit, we knew we had to act not just as a hotel brand, but as neighbours. In fact, our Head of Marketing Erica Catala and Katharina Beyer, our Head of Operations also rose to the challenge back in November. They worked tirelessly to provide aid, ensuring the safety and well-being of those affected. Thanks to their incredible efforts, and the generous support from our GoFundMe initiative, we have been raising funds to be used to purchase much-needed items for these families in need.

We’re incredibly grateful for every donation, every message of support, and every share of the campaign. This is a story of resilience, hope, and humanity.

Thank you for standing with Valencia. Thank you for helping us be home for them.
